Kensington 2yo Trials Review

KENSINGTON TRACK

looking for the winners of next month’s Breeders’ Plate and Gimcrack Stakes.

Varejao opened up a handy break. He shook off his companion and established a big lead 200 m out, looking very much the ready made two-year-old

Nitro (by Deep Field) made a stack of ground from a clear last on the turn and ran into second place a few lengths back.

Gambler looked to travel best into the straight but when asked to go didn’t find as much so perhaps he has some upside.

Memo looked quite impressive in her easy win. The $350,000 Captialist filly (out of Notation) sat back near the tail and settled well, she came around them to make her run and did it comfortably by just under 1-1/2 lengths under hands and heels in 49.33.

King Kirk, as the name suggests by Ole Kirk, sat third on the fence and he changed stride noticeably when coming across heels before he balanced up. Might be worth keeping an eye on

O’Ole matched the fastest time of the morning as she showed good speed to lead, travelled nicely before being felt for about 150m out.

KEEP EYE ON THESE ONES PUNTERS

What a perfect picture

Jockey Johnny King got more than he bargained for when his mount Arbritrageur went airborne before a race at Ireland's Laytown Racecourse last year. Amazingly, both the horse and rider managed to land on their feet, and King got right back on because he's a jockey damn it, and that's what they do. Alas, Arbitrageur and King finished the race mid-pack.

THE SATURDAY WRAP

well punters what a day of racing Saturday, we had some up and some downs, i watched some horse i liked win and had nothing on them but that’s racing. Here’s how i saw it

randwick

Annulus – Raced wide and without cover throughout the event wouldn’t have mattered was not good enough, Cheerful Legend – Held up for a run between the 400 m and 300 m. Jockey dropped his whip at the 75 m, was unlucky not to win, take nothing away from Northern eyes- was too good on the day huge win winning 4 in a row making his way through the grades, been a great training job by Kim Waugh. POWERS OF OPAL she has a powerful turn of foot will be winning races very soon mark her down.

she is here own worst enemy Lost – Began only fairly and then was bumped early, Refused to settle in the early and middle stages and got its head up. pulled up slow to recover . 1 more chance. Spring Lee loves the 1100 m and showed that yesterday great win,

Melody again wow she was impressive great win and a nice freaking collect this old fat man needed. Atmospheric Rock was the eye catching run again running into dead ends should have finished a lot closer.

race 4 will haunt me for life Redstone well i had her marked all week come race day i jump off moving on the dry track is the key and had a great run relaxed and bolts in.

Galeron -– Held up for a short distance after straightening. i don’t think that would of changed the result, Major Beel hadn’t won a race in 524 days but still beats me, thats old Fj luck puntersd

Manaal - showed her class tough win she will be winning many more, eye catching run Lazzura. Ameena went down fighting again huge effort, its looking like a great race coming up when they have to take on Autumn Glow

I AM ME is one tough mother trucker wow that was impressive just held off the fast finish of Bella Nipotina she is awesome what a turn of foot,

Zardozi is much better than that complete forget run, Nonconformist huge run making ground late, Buckaroo and Hinged were huge runs both on target.

Amelia’s jewel and Kovalica are the 2 horse to take out of this race, the winner Royal Patronage was very impressive running fast times look out spring.

Flying Destiny and Thunderlips both very good runs Hanau was too bad to be true made some ground up the rails late, Uzziah hit the ground running and never looked back great ride.

Zougotcha was another huge run seems to go well fresh sat behind them stormed to the lead was just run down late. Fangirl she got too far back running some sectionals late check the times !!this girl is airborne ✈️ and flying. Don’t get off her.

Worked home well running great times. There is a very good win in This One. Mumbai muse eye Catching run up the inside saving all the ground just missed.

R10 10 out of 10 ride by Jason Collett keeping world alliance interested in the early stages and that was the winning move Spring lee Forget the run didn’t see the 1200 m out!! Invader zim didn’t appreciate being back on dry ground look for him on wet.

Moonee Valley

We kicked off the day with a winner autumn glow $1.8 million dollar filly Who copped a bump shortly after jumping and still romped in.

the tough old warhorse Peace officer. He looked a winner all the way down the straight . Just found out on the line had to lump the 61 kg huge effort again. Dr evil forget the run pulled up lame he’s better than that! Another forget Jumeirah Beach over race got off heels didn’t want to settle found the line well will be winning one very soon!

Intervarsity bolts in the highway really lengthen late. She has untapped Raw talent she’s going to be going places. Lisztomaina she is the hard luck story in the race found trouble at the 300 was held up pushed Clear coming down the outside and just missed . Surely there’s a win very soon. Over N Out complete forget run had no chance of being fully tested stuck on the rails nowhere to go

Piastri well executed switched up to Sydney from Melbourne coming out of strong form races was just too good for them. Thunderlips is the horse still putting in your black book 1400 to 1600

Lost forget the run. J Mac reported that the horse was keen going in the early stages and had no turn of foot at the end. The horse was found to be lame in the off hind leg.

We were also traded to a few nice hit outs on the track with some superstars returning next week.

Hellofadancer Super consistent type always around the money and gets a well-deserved win she really appreciated being back on the soft track. I am famous she did find trouble in the street no real excuses. May have come to an end of her prep. Nanshe and Sequested both horses finding trouble once in the Clear really finished to the line well they are going to be winning races very soon

Gatsbys this is the horse I’m excited about for the spring resumed here sweeping over the top of them late hazard impressive turn off foot. This horse is one to follow all the way. High octane put This One in your black book. Will be winning very soon. Super impressive run. Tarpaulin has come to the end of his prep offered Little in the street maybe due for a spell

Kazou this was a textbook ride missed the start got well back JMac did not panic sat in behind them waiting for every opportunity weaved his way through the pack and gets home for a great win !!! anybody who wants to be a jockey go back and watch that race. The Patience needed to win big races .. Battleron is the horse put in your black book .

Tom kitten who would’ve thought they would ever guild This One very expensive for us now needs to start paying off huge win in for a big prep..

The win marked a nostalgic moment for King - not only did she salute in her country of birth, but she also recorded the victory for her former boss, trainer Alan King. Congratulations 🐎🏆🏆🍻

The $34 pop gave his trainer the surprise of her life when he hit the straight miles in front of the competition, holding on to win by 3.27 lengths in the 1605m maiden.
